KFA Lifts Chief of Naval Staff U14 Trophy In Kaduna

…..Defeated Adoration FA of Enugu 1-0

The Kwara Football Academy has emerged champions of the 21st edition of Chief of Naval Staff U14 Championship in Kaduna after a thrilling final against Adoration Football Academy from Enugu. The tightly contested match, held at the Police College Kaduna, ended with a 1-0 scoreline in favor of the Ilorin based Academy.

The winning goal came just 35 seconds into the game, courtesy of a brilliant strike by Sakariyau Basit, which proved to be the decider in a match of high intensity. The victory marked an important achievement for the team as they managed to clinch the championship title once again.

Interestingly, this final pitted the two teams for the second time in the tournament’s history. The previous encounter took place in 2022, where KFA emerged triumphant in a thrilling final held at the Queen Elizabeth School Ilorin. Back then, the two teams had battled to a goalless draw before the Red dragons secured the trophy through a penalty shootout.

The Team performed exceptionally well at the Chief of Naval Staff U14 Championship, securing multiple individual awards. Goalkeeper Ishiah Adeleke was recognized as the Goalkeeper of the tournament, while Coach Seyi Ajayi received the Coach of the tournament award. Striker Tobi Adeoye stood out as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, highlighting their impressive contributions to the team’s success.

Mal. Ibrahim Bako, the Administrator of Kwara Football Academy, expressed pride and satisfaction in the team’s outstanding performance. He commended the players for their resilience and dedication, highlighting how they have validated the Academy’s investment in their development. Bako also praised the high-quality training provided at the academy, emphasizing its crucial role in shaping the players into successful footballers that can compete well on the national front
